Irene B. (Paradis) Rouleau, 82, of West Springfield, a hat maker for the former Winfield Hats of Holyoke, died Saturday in Holyoke. She retired in 1975. She was born and educated in St. Sebastian, Quebec. In 1941, she moved to Holyoke, and then here 18 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Louis de France Church. Her husband, Lucien R. Rouleau, died in 1988. She leaves two daughters, Pauline Rouleau of West Springfield, and Diane Thyse of Danbury, Conn.; two brothers, John Yves Paradis of Lac Megantic, Canada, and Raymond Paradis of Quebec City, Canada; two sisters, Renee Latour of Montreal, Canada, and Berthe Paradis of Lac Megantic; two grandchildren. The funeral will be Wednesday morning at West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home and the church, with burial at Precious Blood Cemetery in South Hadley. ROULEAU. Reo Rouleau, 83, of Green Manor Terrace, Windsor Locks, husband of Antoinette (Ledda) Rouleau, died Thursday (July 7, 1994) at his home. He was born in St. Henri, Quebec, Canada, and lived in Windsor Locks for most of his life. Mr. Rouleau owned and operated the Rouleau Forestry and Nursery Service, from 1937 until his retirement in 1987. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a life member of the French Club, and a member of the Teamsters Local No. 559. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Suffield. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph and Trudy Rouleau of Suffield, and Richard P. Rouleau of Southwick, Mass.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Laura and Gill Gagnon of East Windsor, Linda and Anthony DePascale of Bedford, Texas, and Louise A. Dempsey of Old Saybrook; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Elaine Ledda; six grandchildren, Michael Gagnon, Mark Dempsey, Jody Rouleau, Bryan Dempsey, Adam Rouleau, and Leigh-A nn DePascale; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral will be Monday, 9 a.m., from the Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Reo Rouleau, who owned and operated the Rouleau Forestry and Nursery Service for 50 years, died Thursday at his home in Windsor Locks. He was 83.

Mr. Rouleau retired in 1987. He began the business in Hartford in 1937 and later moved it to Windsor Locks. The company specialized in tree-cutting and land-clearing for residential, municipal and commercial projects.

Mr. Rouleau's company cleared land for the former Lord & Taylor building at Corbins Corner in West Hartford, and also for many residential streets in Avon, West Hartford and Windsor Locks, said his son, Joseph C. Rouleau, who now operates the company.

Reo Tree Lane in Suffield, where the company is now located, was named for Mr. Rouleau, his son said.

Mr. Rouleau also worked for 20 years for the Roger Sherman Rigging Co. of East Hartford, as a member of Teamsters Local 559.

Born in St. Henri, Quebec, he lived in Windsor Locks for most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the French Club and a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Suffield.

Besides his son, he leaves his wife, Antoinette Rouleau; another son, Richard P. Rouleau of Southwick, Mass.; three daughters, Laura Gagnon of East Windsor, Linda DePascale of Bedford, Texas, and Louise A. Dempsey of Old Saybrook; and six grandchildren.

WEBSTER - Elnora E. (Baker) Marois Rouleau, 87, of Slater Street died Sunday in Hubbard Regional Hospital.

Her first husband, Stanislaus H. Marois, died in 1951. Her second husband, Wilfred Rouleau, died in 1971. She leaves three daughters, Florence E. Parmenter of Auburn, Estelle D. Seachrist of Claremont, N.H., and Claudette T. Langer of Springdell, Pa.; a sister, Loretta Donahue of Worcester; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was born in Putnam, daughter of Omer and Mary (Emmons) Baker, and had lived in Webster most of her life.

Mrs. Rouleau was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and the Daughters of Isabella for many years. She was a life member of Webster Fish & Game Club.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 18 East Main St. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann's School, Day Street, Webster, 01570. Robert J. Miller Funeral Home, 366 School St., is directing arrangements.

FITCHBURG - Viola D. (Gonyer) Rouleau, 80, of 1199 John Fitch Highway, formerly of East Street, died Monday in Leominster Hospital, after an illness.

Her husband, Joel J. Rouleau Sr., died in 1963. She leaves two sons, George J. Rouleau of Fitchburg and Joel J. Rouleau Jr. of Clover, S.C.; a daughter, Janet M. Reed of Athol; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was born in Holden, daughter of John and Roseanna (Auger) Gonyer, and lived here most of her life.

Mrs. Rouleau was an assembler at the former Foster Grant Co. in Leominster for 10 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Bernard's Church.

The funeral will be held Saturday from Smith-Mallahy Funeral Home, 243 Water St., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in Our Lady's Chapel of St. Bernard's Church, 240 Water St. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. WORCESTER - Gerard J. Rouleau, 74, of 112 West Seventh St., Cheyenne, Wyo., formerly of Worcester, was stricken ill and died Wednesday in his home.

He leaves a sister, Flexine Hamelin of Southbridge; and several nephews and nieces. He was born in St. Adrienne d'Ireland, Quebec, Canada, son of Eugene and Elida (Couture) Rouleau. He lived many years in Worcester and many years in Cheyenne.

He was a lineman for the Union Pacific Railroad in Cheyenne for 30 years, retiring in 1984.

He was as member of the railroad workers' union. In 1978, he was presented the Key to the City of Worcester by then Mayor Thomas J. Early during a return visit here.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 9 t 10 a.m. tomorrow.

PUTNAM - Sister Marie K. Rouleau, 86, with the Daughters of the Holy Spirit, formerly known in religion as Sister Denis de la Croix, died Saturday in the Holy Spirit Provincial House, 72 Church St.

She leaves many nephews and nieces; grandnephews and grandnieces. She was born in St. Chrysostom, Quebec, daughter of Denis and Celeda (Rousseau Rouleau.

Sister Rouleau entered the Daughters of the Holy Spirit in 1924 and professed her final vows in 1927 at the Motherhosue in St. Brieuc, France. She was a longtime elementary school teacher. She taught in Concarneau, France, Swanton, Vt., and Chicopee. After that, she was a teacher and diocesan supervisor in Hartford and a teacher in Burlington, Vt. Sister Rouleau was later principal of St. Mary's School in Putnam and St. James School in Davis, Calif. She later taught in Quebec. After that, she was a librarian in Plainfield, Chicopee and Jewett City. She retired to the Provincial House here last year.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, with a Mass at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit Provincial House, 72 Church St. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at the provincial house chapel 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., is directing arrangements.

Her husband, Paul J. Rouleau, died in 1960. She leaves a son, Paul F. Rouleau of Leominster; three daughters, Dorothy J. Rouleau of Fairfield, Iowa, and Barbara A. and Margaret Rouleau, both of Leominster; two sisters, Alice Whitney of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Sally Leonard of New Haven, Conn.; and a grandson. She was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Stephen and Margaret (Walsh) McNabb, and had lived here most of her life.

She was a 1922 graduate of Fitchburg High School.

Mrs. Rouleau was an inspector at the former Foster Grant Co., where she worked many years before retiring in 1975. She was a former member of St. Bernard's parish in Fitchburg, and a member of the Holy Family of Nazareth parish in Leominster.

John Kiernan Rouleau, 84, a former employee of the Atomic Energy Commission who became a State Department official who specialized in science and technology in France and Latin America, died Feb. 4 at a hospital in Boynton Beach, Fla., after a heart attack.

Dr. Rouleau was born in Boston. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received a doctorate in biochemistry from Boston University.

He taught at MIT, Boston University and Boston College until 1940, when he joined the Army and served at ordnance facilities in Illinois, New York and Virginia.

He was science adviser to military attaches at U.S. embassies in Ottawa and Paris, then in 1951 came to Washington where he worked 10 years as a science officer at the AEC. He joined the State Department in 1962 and retired from there in 1967.

Since retirement he had lived in Boynton Beach.

His wife, Alice Louise Desmond Rouleau, died in 1987.

Survivors include three children, John Kiernan Rouleau II and Raymond Anthony Rouleau, both of Boynton Beach, and Alice Patricia Rouleau of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

John K. Rouleau, a scientist and educator who had a distinguished career with the U.S. government, including a stint with the Atomic Energy Commission, died Monday at 84.

Mr. Rouleau was born in Boston and retired to Florida 15 years ago. He taught chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston College and Boston University before working for the government at the outset of World War II.

Mr. Rouleau worked with the Army from 1940-46 and then was a scientific adviser to the U.S. embassies in Ottawa and Paris before going to Washington in 1951 to work with the Atomic Energy Commission.

Although he had worked on the development of the atomic bomb, he later went back to France in the 1950s to work on the Atoms for Peace project.

In 1962 he began work for the State Department as science adviser. He received the State Department's Superior Honor award in 1965 and again in 1971.

The award reads: "In recognition of the signal and enduring contribution he made to U.S. foreign policy towards Latin America."

Mr. Rouleau, whose wife, Alice, died in 1988, leaves three children, John K. II and Raymond Anthony, both of Boynton Beach, as well as a daughter, Patricia, of Los Angeles.

He also is survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

LUNENBURG - Andre R. Rouleau, 57, of 26 Boutwell St. died yesterday in the University of Massachusetts Hospital, Worcester, after a short illness.

He leaves his wife of 37 years, Margaret "Peg" (Lennon) Rouleau; three daughters, Nancy Cutting of Leominster, Linda Walsh of Fitchburg, and Debra St. Jean of Winchendon Springs; two brothers, Archie Rouleau and Paul Rouleau, both of Fitchburg; six grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Norwood, son of Archie and Claire (Bolduc) Rouleau, and lived in Fitchburg before moving Lunenburg 28 years ago.

Mr. Rouleau was an Army veteran of World War II.

He worked as a papermaker for 37 years at James-River of Massachusetts.

He was a member of Our Lady of The Lake Church, Leominster, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Ayer.

He leaves his parents, Philip J. and Gerri (Fortier) Rouleau of Fitchburg; his wife, Beth P. (Jameson) Rouleau; a daughter, Kate, both of Athol; a brother, Daniel Rouleau of Orange; a sister, Tammy Rouleau of Fitchburg; a niece and two nephews. Born in Fitchburg, he lived here all his life before moving to Athol four years ago.

Mr. Rouleau was employed as an inside sales person at Gettens Electric Co. in Fitchburg. He graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocation Technical High School in 1980. He was a member of the Leominster Lodge of Elks and an avid member of the Gettens Electric softball team.
