Max Von Wille

Great news on my great grandfather, Maximillian Von Wille. He is one of my brickwalls. I had written to a volunteer from the Louisville Genealogy Society and she was going to look up any articles in the newspaper. This was a while back and I completely forgot, and so had she, lol. Well I just got an email from her helper and she found this information:

I have a copy of the Coroner's Memo, a copy of the
city directory listing for the Argonne Hotel and the
article in the newspaper telling that the pistol was
found under him in his hotel room and that he left a
signed note attributine the act to "ill health" and
what to do with his personal belongings. Also, that
he was from New York City and connected with the
editorial offices of the American Historical Society.

She is going to mail the copy's to me. One thing I didn't know is that he was from NYC. I know he came from Berlin and that he spent time in Miami and Alabama and Louisville, KY where he died. Hope these will open a door!

Hi! I like genealogy too! Do you have any ancestory charts posted? What computer program do you have? I currently use The Master Genealogoist (TMG) and it has a companion program that will put your info online (if you want) or on a CD to share in a Web format. I haven't done too much with it yet or I'd give you a link. Still learning. I like the idea of having a blog to discuss your research.

Hi Tanya,
That is so fascinating. I see that your great-grandfather got around a lot. It makes it harder for us down the line to track them !

I'am having a slow time for my research; just some snail mail to print up. I'am writing to 2 cemeteries in & neraby Philly before our Sept trip. These concern my 4 great-grandparents. That way, if I hear that their markers are still around, we will go & pay our respects.

See you soon ;)

Hi Tanya,
I have read your blog and I see that we are distant relatives. My fathers name Was Chester Lawrence Dugan from Kansas, he passed away January 4, 1996. I have been idle with my genealogy, I went back to school and now that I have graduated I have time again to work on my family tree. I will be posting my tree in the next few weeks or so.

Take care,
Sylvia(Dugan)Kerr

Hi Tanya,
I was just going through my genealogy blogs and wanted to say Hi.
I know that you are a busy lady.
My project for my genealogy website is still on going.Otherwise, I was busy with a big blog project past Weds.It was fun have a genealogy blog, but I did not always have the time to do both at a time !

You take care my friend.

Hi Tanya: I've been researching family history too, all in England... and have never thought about blogging about it. But it would be a great way to inform distant relatives of the stories I have found. I wonder if I would have time to keep two bolgs going at the same time? What got you started in this?
