Edward Rollo, aged 32, of Ellenburg Depot, was accidentally drowned in Cheeseman Pond on Wednesday afternoon of last week. Rollo went to the pond to fill cans with water, and the supposition is that he slipped and fell into the twelve feet of water which fills the pond at the point where the accident occurred. Fellow workmen becoming alarmed at his long absence went to the pond, and after about ten minutes of search brought the body to the surface. No one witnessed the accident which resulted in the death of Rollo.
