The Record-Post Au Sable Forks NY
February 6, 1958
Philip Seguin, brother of Victor Seguin of Au Sable Forks, died at 8:15 Monday morning at Syracruse. Born at Keeseville on Dec. 18, 1893, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Seguin of this village. He moved here at an early age with his parents.
Mr. Seguin worked for the J. & J. Rogers Company while in his early teens, after attending the public schools here. About thirty years ago, he moved to Syracruse where he was employed for much of the time as a painter and interior decorator. His wife, the former Minnie Yando, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Yando, of this village, preceded him in death about five years ago.
Mr. Seguin frequently visited relatives and friends here while a resident of Syracruse, never having lost his interest in, and fondness for, the Adirondacks.
The remains were brought to Lake Placid by train Wednesday morning and from there to the home of Victor Seguin in Quirk Bros. ambulance.
The deceased is survived, in addition to his brother, Victor Seguin of town, Mrs. Blanche DeSieno, of Boston, Mass., two sons, Clifford and Clement Seguin, of Syracruse, his sister, Mrs. Olive Sousie, of Keeseville, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 this Thursday morning in Holy Name Church and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Seguin went to Syracruse, called there by the death of his brother, returning here Tuesday evening.
