At Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, March 11th, 2002 in his 37th year, after a courageous battle with cancer, Michael Seguin of Cornwall and formerly of Port Elgin. Dearly loved son of Jeannette Seguin of Port Elgin and Claude and Barb Seguin of Deep River. Dear brother of Kevin of Port Elgin and Karen of Etobicoke. Loving uncle of Jennifer and Steven. He is also survived by his grandparents Lucienne and Rheal Seguin of Cornwall and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A private family funeral service will be conducted in the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin with Father Robert Hudson officiating.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.

Vernabelle Stephenson, 78
Vernabelle Irene Stephenson, RR 2 Prescott, died Saturday, April 21, 2001 at Brockville General Hospital. She was 78.
Born Dec. 19, 1922 at Englehart, Ont., she was the daughter of Alexander Peters and Nina Clark.
She married Elmer Stephenson Oct. 10, 1968 in Brockville.
Mrs. Stephenson enjoyed cooking, playing cards, knitting, crocheting, collecting bells and telling jokes. She was the owner and operator of Verna's Fish and Chip Shop and Verna's Restaurant, and would often donate roasts and other foods to needy families. She had a beautiful voice, and sang in the Maynard United Church Choir.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Stephenson is survived by her daughter Edith (Mrs. Richard Champagne); sons Barry (Diane) Brown and Dennis (Bonnie) Brown; brothers Calvin Peters, Robert (Cathy) Peters and Murray Peters; sisters Frances (Bert Groves), Beatrice (Marcel Seguin) and Norma (Buck Anderson); step children Reginald (Nancy) Stephenson, Gail (Tom) Provencal, Delbert (Gail) Stephenson; grandchildren Ric (Cheryl) Champagne, Rodger (Laurie) Champagne, Kevin (Vicky) Brown, Michael (Andrea) Brown, Leanne (Wil Crain), Jennifer and Chris Brown; and great grandchildren Robyn, Rik and Randy Champagne, and Ryan, Zachary and Emily Brown.
Mrs. Stephenson was predeceased by her parents; brothers William, Raymond, Ernest and Leonard; and sister Leona.
Visitation was held at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott, Monday, April 23, 2001, from 6 to 9 pm. The funeral service was held in the chapel of the funeral home April 24 at 11 am. Cremation was held at Glenhaven Cemetery April 24. A committal service took place May 1 at 3 pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
Joseph St. Marsielle, 46
Joseph St. Marsielle died at his residence, 1343 Notre Dame, Cornwall, Ont., Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, surrounded by his loving family. He was 46.
Surviving are his beloved wife Suzanne (Loiselle) and his loving children, Jill of Ottawa and Joël and Emilie, both at home. He was the dear son of Guy and Mary (Patrick) St. Marsielle of Cornwall and formerly of Prescott. He was the dear brother of Anne Hogarth (Greg) of Kingston and John St. Marsielle (Margaret) and Susan Dulmage (Morley), both of Cornwall. He was the dear son-in-law of Aurele Loiselle of Cornwall and the late Therese (Seguin) Loiselle. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and relatives from Prescott, Montreal and Toronto.
Mr. St. Marsielle was the proprietor of Cornwall Rooftruss Limited, and a member of the Summers Town Flying Club, Summer Heights Golf Club and Cornwall Club.
He rested at the Wilson Funeral Home, Cornwall, from 2 pm Aug. 6, 2001. The Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church Aug. 7 at 11 am.
Pallbearers were James Crozier, Kevin Wert, Thomas Wert, James Poirier, Geoffrey Derochie and Ron Graham.
A Rite of Committal will be at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall.

Entered into rest at Hillsdale Manor in Oshawa on Monday, August 5, 2002 in her 87th year. Loving mother of Austin and his wife Beverley of Lakefield. Grandmother of Cindy and her husband David Seguin of Oshawa and David McLuhan of Lakefield and great grandmother of Calli-Lyn Seguin. Predeceased by her brother Harold. Elizabeth Jane Todd, 69
Elizabeth Jane (Betty) Todd died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999 at Kingston General Hospital following a lengthy struggle with ovarian cancer. She was 69.
Mrs. Todd was born on Aug. 12, 1930 to the late Edward and Marjorie Seguin of Ogdensburg, N.Y. She was married to William (Bill) Todd at the United Church in Prescott on April 21, 1951.
After moving to Prescott, Mrs. Todd worked at Domtar and Cleveland Container for 18 years. This was followed by a short stint at RCA. For the past 29 years, she has been a homemaker.
Reading, bingo and family life were among her favourite pastimes.
Mrs. Todd is survived by her husband Bill, and son Brett and loving partner Leslie Quinton. Also surviving are her mother-in-law Marian Redmond and her husband Mint of Prescott, two sisters, Theresa Martin (husband Robert) of Ogdensburg, N.Y., and June Johnston (husband Al) of Peterborough, Ont., and three brothers, Bobby, Gary and Allen, all of Ogdensburg. She is fondly remembered by her niece Judy Roberts, husband Charles and son Cole of Prescott, sister-in-law Beryl Clarke and her husband Bill of Prescott, brother-in-law Leonard Todd of Prescott, niece Eileen Lucknow and her husband Joe of Peterborough, nephew Andrew Johnston and his wife Marianne of Peterborough, nephew Bryan Martin and his wife Peggy of Ogdensburg, nephew Dale Martin of Ogdensburg, and nephews Dave and Terry of Decatur, Illinois. She was predeceased by a sister Rita.
Visitation was Tuesday, Sept. 21 at Grant Brown Funeral Home. Services are today at Grant Brown Funeral Home at 2 p.m., with interment at Sandy Hill Cemetery to follow. Pallbearers will be Bill Clarke, Michael Doris, Bob Martin, Charles Roberts, Bobby Seguin and Leonard Todd. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Formerly of Burcher Rd. Ajax, passed away at North Bay on Monday March 6, 2006 at the age of 88. Loving wife of 53 years of the late Norwood (June 2005). Loving mother of Noreen and Ed Scully or Corbeil and Dave and Cindy Taylor of Oshawa. Beloved grandma Jonathan (fianc e Jaime Sullivan), Richard (fianc e Kara Seguin) . Samantha and Jennifer Scully and Jordan and Shannon Taylor. Special friend of John and May Shanks. Irene was a former employee of I.DI. DUGRE, Rev. Maurice Passed away on Friday June 16, 2000 at Hawkesbury, at the age of 87. Son of the late Ludger Dugre and of the late Louise Bourassa. He was born on February 20, 1913 at St-Boniface-de-Shawinigan, Quebec. Brother of Sister Bernadette and Sister Marie-Louise-Therese, Carmelites of Pennsylvania. He was ordained priest on May 6, 1948 at the Sanctuary of Notre-Dame-du-Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Trois-Rivieres; assistant pastor at Holy Trinity, Rockland; studied in Rome in Holy Scriptures, Theology and Canon Law; professor of Holy Scriptures and Canon Law at the Major Seminary of Ottawa; professor of Holy Scriptures and Canon Law at the Capucin Scolasticate and the Faculty of the Arts at Ottawa University; chaplain of General Hospital in 1958; professor of Moral Theology at the Major Seminary of St-Boniface; professor of Theology and Philosophy at St-Boniface and assistant at St. Joseph Parish, Manitoba; Mariopolis 1961; assistant pastor at St-Anne Parish, Ottawa; notary, attorney and advocate at the Marriage Tribunal, pastor at St. Margaret Mary's Parish, Cumberland; pastor at St-Gregoire-de-Nazianze, Vankleek Hill; administrator of St-Leon-le-Grand, Treadwell; administrator of St-Bernardin. Eggleton: Herbert A resident of Chatham died at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General Campus on Friday, May 24, 2002 at the age of 85. Born in Belleville, son of the late Stanley and Eleta (Andrews) Eggleton. Beloved husband of Amber (Cunningham) Eggleton. Brother of Gloria Joan Baxter and her husband George of Sault Ste. Marie, Clifford Eggleton and his wife Barbara of Simcoe and the late Irene Seguin and John Eggleton. Uncle of Heather Wood and her husband Ron, Sharon Rufenach and her husband Harold, Amber Claus and her husband Jon, Gail Baxter, David Baxter and his wife Monica and Stephen Baxter and his wife Ramona. Herbert owned and operated Chatham Office Supply Ltd from 1959-1970 and was an employee of Remington Rand for many years working in Florida, Windsor and Chatham. He was a past member of Sertoma Club of Florida and Chatham, past member of the Jaycees, an ardent golfer and a member of Indian Creek Golf and Country Club. At the request of the family there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation with interment in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Oldcastle.
