Elisha F. Swett of Danby, Vermont, age 29, enlisted 18 Sept 1862 in Company K of the 14th Vermont Infantry. Killed in action at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, 3 July 1863. Burial: Tabor Cemetery, Mount Tabor, Vermont. [Vermont in the Civil War (website)]
Elisha F. Sweat, son of William Sweat, enlisted for nine months in Co. K., 14th regiment, Sept. 18, 1862, and occupied the position of 1st Sergeant. He was killed at the battle of Gettysburg, July 3, 1863, aged 30. He was a man of intelligence, of peaceable industrious habits, and highly respected, both as a citizen and soldier. He was brave and faithful in the performance of duties, and comrades mourned his loss. His remains was brought home for interment, in October 1863. [History of Danby, by J. C. Williams, 1869, p. 316]

I am researching Isaac A Swett/Sweatt also of Danby, Vt; was in the 7th Inf, Co D - was married to Catherine ?; daughter Annie married John Cochlin, is this the same family?
