BOLTON Irene E. (Rouleau) Nikitas, 87, formerly of 2 Chace St., died Thursday, October 4, 2007 in Clinton Hospital following an illness.

She is survived by two sons, Allen P. Tencati of Jaffrey, NH, and James S. Galeski of Harvard; two daughters, Marie I. Pulnik of Clinton and Patricia A. Hackler of Bolton; two brothers, Paul Rouleau of Lancaster and Edward Rouleau of Clinton; two sisters, Ruth Andriski of Lancaster and Jeanette Kelly of Orange; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her first husband, Silvio Tencati, her second husband, Stanley Galeski, in 1956, and her third husband, Peter Nikitas; also, three brothers, Albert, Walter, and Francis Rouleau.

Irene was born and raised in Lancaster, the daughter of Charles T. and Medora M. (LaPlante) Rouleau. She graduated from Lancaster High School in 1938 and moved to Bolton where she resided for over fifty years. She worked at the former Wickwire Spencer Mill, and later at the former Stowers Dept. Store in Clinton. Irene was a founding member of St. Francis Xavier Church. She was a 4-H Leader, a Cub Scout Leader, and an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed music, sewing, reading, swimming, and above all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Irene’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton with a Mass at 10:00 a.m in St. Francis Xavier Church, 808 Main St., Bolton. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 8, 2007 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

87, of North Palm Beach, Florida and Newburyport, Massachusetts, died Friday morning, August 3, 2007 in Newburyport, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband of sixty-two years to Myona Nonie M. (Ross) Rouleau.

Born in Holyoke, Mass., he was the son of the late Benjamin H. and Pearl (Gaffney) Rouleau. Attending high school in Plainfield, Conn., Ben distinguished himself as both a scholar and an athlete. Soon after graduation, he entered the military, serving with the United States Army during World War II. Ben would always remain proud of his service in the Pacific theater.

Mr. Rouleau was a general foreman for the Pratt & Whitney Division of United Technology of East Hartford, Conn., where he worked until his retirement. He and his wife retired to North Palm Beach, Fla. where they resided twenty-seven years. While there, Ben and Myona remained active in the UTC retiree community.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Carol Rouleau and her husband Gerald Lipsky, of Newburyport; son Lee Rouleau and wife Cynthia of Los Angeles, CA and three grandchildren Brian, Lauren, and Allison; one sister, Eleanor Gannon and husband William of Mystic, Conn., along with several nieces and nephews.

Ben will be remembered for his strong sense of humor, love of travel, his fondness for books, and enthusiasm for golf. He enjoyed looking out over the marina and spending time at the beach. Most of all, Ben will be remembered for his caring nature, and could be satisfied merely by holding his granddaughter's hand.

A private memorial service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are by Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport.

NORWICH- Mary Edithe Rouleau, formerly Sister Alfreda, SND, 89, formerly of 136 Hunters Rd., died early Sunday afternoon at St. Mary Home in West Hartford. She was born in Norwich on July 20, 1917, the daughter of the late Alfred and Edith (Barr) Rouleau. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Taftville. Mary Edithe was a 1937 graduate from Norwich Free Academy. She received a B.S. from Emmanuel in Boston and her M. Ed from Boston University. She entered the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in 1940 and for 37 years taught business courses.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Eugene, Rene and Peter Rouleau and two sisters, Eugenie Barry and Edithe Rouleau.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet directly at Sacred Heart Church in Taftville for a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. BEDFORD -- Steven M. Rouleau, 55, died April 12, 2007, in Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.


He was born in Manchester on Feb. 18, 1952, the son of Donat and Violet (Rybczyk) Rouleau. He had been a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, and a graduate of Manchester Memorial High School, class of 1970.

He was a member of the Manchester Fire Department for 24 years, from 1975 to his retirement in 1999, and was a member of the fire department dive team. He was a member of Local 856 of the International Association of Firefighters, and the Manchester Firefighters Relief Association. He will be remembered for his quiet friendly demeanor. Family members include his wife of 33 years, Arleen (Boisvert) Rouleau of Bedford; two sons, Bryan Rouleau of Merrimack and Jason Rouleau of Hooksett; his mother of Manchester; a brother, Peter Rouleau of Manchester; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester. Robert Franklin Rouleau, 80, of Beulah, formerly of Monroe, died Monday at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City.

Born June 22, 1926, in Monroe, he was the son of Ernest and Emma (Stoddard) Rouleau. He married Lillie Margaret Mattai June 11, 1949, in Frankfort. She died in 2000.

For 37 years he was an equipment installer for Western Electric Co., retiring in 1981.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, bird watching and spending time outdoors.

Surviving are four sons, Robert (Linda) Jr. of Dundee, William (Jerri) of Sylvania, Ohio, Richard of Elberta and Bruce of Monroe; two daughters, Barbara Brinson of Akron, Ohio, and Betty Anne Stallard of Delton; three brothers, Charles of Monroe, James (Tina) of Toledo and Ray of Lumberton, N.C.; 25 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he as preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Ernest, and a sister, Mary Lou Segorski.

She was born in Manchester July 24, 1946, to Marcel and Lucille (Halle) Prudhomme. She was educated in the local school system.

Prior to her illness, she was employed taking care of her five grandchildren and her great-grandchild.

She enjoyed children, flowers, birds and reading.

IN HER LIFE: Our mom had a heart of gold, and throughout her entire life, she put other's concerns and needs ahead of her own.

A special thank you to the entire staff at NH Oncology, Elliot Radiation Department, the Fitch Unit, and ICU for their extraordinary care, kindness and compassion.

Members of her family include her husband Richard Rouleau of Manchester; her two children, Justine Lucille Jobin of Concord and Marcel Arthur Jobin of Salem; grandchildren Billy, Mandy, Scott, Craig and Brittany; great-grandchildren Tyler, Ryan, Jacob and Adyn; surviving brothers and sisters, Armand Prudhomme, Ronald Prudhomme and Debra Oxley, all of Manchester; and many loved nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Priscilla Anne (Ganey) Rouleau, 83, of Amesbury, formerly of Beverly and Salem, died January 19, 2007, at the Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of her loving husband, the late Frank Rouleau, who died in 1991. They were married for 39 years. They were devoted to each other, and he had been in her thoughts and memories for the past 15 years, never forgetting to plant flowers and visit his gravesite on Memorial Day.

Born October 28, 1923, in Providence, R.I., daughter of George and Doris (Loring) Ganey, she was the oldest of eight children. She attended Beverly and Wenham schools and was a graduate of Beverly High School.

Mrs. Rouleau had worked at Varian and Sylvania in the past. She had worked in the nursing department at Salem Hospital for 25 years, the majority spent on 8 West. She was a very caring and compassionate person who helped many people through the years. She was always available to help care for a sick friend or relative. Even after her retirement from Salem Hospital, Mrs. Rouleau had worked for Associated Home Care in Beverly to help care for patients overnight and on weekends. She did this until her sudden development of macular degeneration, causing legal blindness. Even after being given this devastating diagnosis she never felt sorry for herself and made the necessary adjustments to go on with her everyday life. She was a devoted mother to her three daughters. They were the center of her world along with their families. Nothing went on in her life without them.

Mrs. Rouleau is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, C. Dale and Michael Bates of Beverly, Cynthia and Phillip Connolly of Amesbury, and Nancy and Michael LaPointe of Salem; six grandchildren, Cynthia Bates-Valotto of Hamilton, Gregory Bates of Beverly, Kevin Connolly of Newton, N.H., Amanda Connolly of Amesbury, and Joi-Ellen Lapointe and Michael LaPointe, both of Salem; six great-grandchildren, Michael, Alexander and Matthew Valotto, Joshua and Jonathan Bates and Jordyn LaPointe; two brothers, Frank Ganey of Salem and Carol B. Ganey of Hernando, Fla.; three sisters, Nancy Williams of California, Patricia Montoni of Lake Havasu City, Ariz. and Judith Vergari of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Donald Ganey and Jacqueline Montoni.

Her funeral service was held January 24 from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home of Salem. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
